CN Tower: DO NOT MISS THIS! But if you are afraid of heights, you might wanna pass. Seriously though, my legs were shaking the moment I was on top. I had to find a seat to calm it down for a bit and just to relax my nerves! But I can tell you that you have to visit this iconic landmark for panoramic views of the city. Don't miss the EdgeWalk for a thrilling experience too!

Toronto Islands: Umm…this is my ultimate favorite! My ULTIMATE favorite. I would go back here again and again, and it would still be perfect. Just take a ferry to these peaceful islands for beaches, picnicking, and outdoor activities. Please do this for me!

Distillery District: Don’t come here in the morning. LOL. It’s livelier at night, but if you want that spacious, chill vibes, then the morning is for you! I was there! I have seen it! And I don’t regret it! So stroll through this historic area with cobblestone streets, art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. It’s the best!

St. Lawrence Market: OMG. I had my lunch here! This is the most local vibes of all the places in Toronto! I love the market! It is just so full of culture and diversity from products to people to everything! Yes, you can taste local foods and shop for fresh produce, meats, and artisanal products.

Art Gallery of Ontario: This was probably my second to the last stop before my flight. And when I got here, there was a lovely group of community protesting at the entrance about employment benefits and something. So it was a bit crowded. Nonetheless, I enjoyed a diverse collection of artworks from various periods and cultures. This should also be on your list!

I can’t wait to be back in Toronto City again and explore sites I haven’t been and do things I haven’t done yet! Argggg! There are still so much more to do in that city, but sadly my time there was limited! Soon, I would get the chance to wander more!

As Sunday unfolded in Sault Sainte Marie, our post-church adventure led us to the enchanting Kinsmen Park. The promise of serene landscapes and the allure of bare fall trees awaited, despite the challenges of freezing hands and numbing toes in the crisp autumn air.

Exploring Nature's Canvas Kinsmen Park, with its expansive beauty, welcomed us with open arms. The once vibrant fall foliage had gracefully transitioned into a breathtaking display of bare trees, their branches reaching skyward like intricate, natural sculptures. Though the cold nipped at our fingers and toes, the scenery cast its spell, making every shiver worthwhile.

Capturing Winter's Approach Winter was undoubtedly knocking at the door, as evidenced by the crispness in the air and the absence of leaves from the trees. The landscape, although stripped of its colorful autumn coat, revealed a different kind of beauty—a raw and honest depiction of nature's cyclical transformations. Each step in the park became a journey through time, witnessing the subtle but profound changes that mark the transition from fall to winter.

Finding Warmth in Serenity Despite the chilly temperatures, there was a warmth in the serenity that enveloped Kinsmen Park. The quiet rustle of leaves underfoot and the distant echo of our laughter added a comforting soundtrack to the stillness of the surroundings. It was a Sunday well spent, a retreat into the heart of nature's resilience against the encroaching winter cold.

Reflecting on the Journey As we navigated the park's pathways, the freezing hands and numbing toes became a small price to pay for the immersive experience. The stark beauty of the bare trees served as a poignant reminder of the cyclical nature of life—a gentle preparation for the hushed tranquility that winter brings.

Our visit to Kinsmen Park in Sault Sainte Marie became more than just a stroll in nature; it was a soul-nourishing adventure. Despite the challenges of the cold, the park offered a haven of natural beauty that made the Sunday after church truly memorable. As we retreated from the park, we carried with us the echoes of rustling leaves, the silhouette of bare trees against the sky, and the warmth that comes from connecting with nature, even on the coldest of days.

Camotes Island is an island in Cebu, which also has its own group of islands to share and plenty of activities worth experiencing, but here, I am going to tackle some of the best things I did being there while the borders are still open to receive guests.

Top 5 Things to Do in Camotes Island

1. Lunch by the Santiago White Beach

After we got dressed in our beach-appropriate attire, we walked along the shore to find restaurants for our breakfast, and there were some good choices that were just by the beach. We had eggs, rice, tocinos, and iced coffees, which is approximately ₱50-150 or $1-3.

2. Literally Chilling and Swimming in Santiago White Beach

After lunch, we went to our resort and spent time by the beach. Literally just relaxing and listening to nature, the birds singing, the sound of the waves, and the smell of the ocean breeze. After the total lockdown and the whole coronavirus pandemic, I absolutely missed this going out, spending time with friends, and enjoying nature. It was what I needed, and I know we all deserve to spend some time outside since we have been isolated so much, too much already, it's not healthy anymore. So I was thankful for this trip thought short. It's a public beach, so you don't have to worry financially. Go have fun! By then, we went swimming all afternoon till we were sunkissed and satisfied.

Day 2

3. Island Hopping in Tulang Diot Island

After a hearty breakfast at the resort, we went island hopping to Tulang Diot Island. The turquoise seawater here will make you jealous. You will wish the ocean in your town has this kind of beauty. Better bring your personal snorkeling gear so you could snorkel in the water as sea those fish.

4. Cave Exploration in Timubo Cave

I have not been in a cave for a long time, so this was something I was very willing to do. Sometimes I forget that caves are underground the earth, that you have to climb down a path, and does not have some fancy door to greet. When I saw the entrance, it was pretty small, but at least the people there made a proper stairway and railings for tourists to hold on to. By the time I got in, it was too dark I had to turn on my mobile flashlight. It was eerie, cold, and wet like the cave was sweating or something, and it smells like old earth and land and something else I can't describe, but it does not smell bad. Then, it was seventy-five meters down, so I had more hiking to do. You go through small ways, walk through puddles, and imagine odd things that take shape in the rock formation. At the end of the exploration, you will find the cold refreshing spring of the cave. The locals even placed a grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. The water is not too deep, five feet max.

5. Kayaking, Water Biking, Ziplining, Horse Riding in Lake Danao

Lake Danao, also known as the Lover's Lake, maybe because most of their water activities take two people to enjoy the fun, like water biking, kayaking... It's very spacious here, with lots of areas to do picnics, hiking around the lake, ziplining, and there's also a swimming pool to cool down from the hot summer sun since it was not allowed to swim on the lake.
