Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador

A place for prayers, hope, and miracles

The Divine Mercy Shrine is a Catholic monument in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It features a 15.24 meter statue of Jesus as the Divine Mercy as the focal point of Divine Mercy Hills, a tract of land overlooking Macajalar Bay on the southern island of Mindanao.
The nine-hectare land for the Shrine was purchased for a nominal amount and the complex was paid for by donations. The shrine was completed in 2008 and serves as a pilgrimage site for Divine Mercy devotees.

When I visited here with my family, we had the place all to ourselves. Not many people were there to join us. The monument was big as a 7-storey building. Flowers were blooming at each sides of the stairs. The whole place looks like a huge garden with baby plants that are still growing. Men and women are not allowed with inappropriate clothing, they must be covered with decent clothes.
All in all, I had a solemn experience with myself to the Lord. I gave thanks and offered my prayers. And enjoyed the view of the place.
