Reaction to the Season Two of The Originals

“We all must stand alone against our demons.” –Klaus, The Originals

This season has more killings than the first — like always; more betrayals, more enemies becoming allies, and allies becoming enemies. But, still, nobody can outsmart Mr. Klaus Mikaelson.

They, the Mikaelson siblings, kept on reminding us about “Family above all,” yet their shuttered relationship with their own parents and other siblings is far from a model we should follow. It’s quite ironic actually since they have all the meaning of a broken family yet you can feel the unity and love deep behind those tempers and hatred. They say words that are beautifully expressed in a lie. They all are liars as what Davina Claire said. They are liars in my view too. But those lies were meant to protect them, to keep them away from pain, to keep them safe. I still hate lies and lying. You have to hate too. It’s on top of the list of worst feelings – getting lied to, whether small or big lies. They teach you to be different next time. Lies teach you to become stone at heart, to never easily be deceived by the words from other people, that it don’t matter anymore.

To spoil a little, if you haven’t seen the season two yet, Klaus lied  like always, but this time, everyone was involved to be sacrificed to a mad Aunt witch.

…And who could ever forget the baby they were all fighting about? She’s back in the hands of her loving parents. Luckily, she’s too young to understand the life around her, given that it’s chaotic and bloody. She’ll be a natural immortal with a little temper, kindness, and bravery like her parents. So many people love her actually. So many want her so much to die. So many people would want to consume her power.  The kid is like Harry Potter but the hybrid version with immortal paranoid parents and crazy protective aunts and uncles. Voldemort will be the witch who tries to defeat her. She doesn’t have a scar on her forehead but she’ll have fangs instead. She’s famous just like Harry, and will be known to be ‘The girl who lived.’

Indeed, ‘with so much power comes with great responsibility,’ said Uncle Ben from Spider-man. The Mikaelsons will face enemies who are jealous and threaten to their kind. Not easy being immortal, famous, and powerful, now everybody hates them. They will ‘Always and Forever’ stand together to their family.
