Hiking In Bacolod

Relax and stop worrying about things that you cannot change. (Anonymous)

If you’re a zen practioner, you’ll be happy with a cushion and a wall. Stillness and nothing else. How about a little music in the background like the sound of the water streaming over the rocks, the trees dancing against each other with the wind, the humming of the birds in the air. Breathe in. Breathe out. You are at peace. Plus, you are in a great place!

I am in the state of zen.
I hiked to seven beautiful waterfalls in Mambukal Resort, Bacolod with my family. Slowly and surely, we went up with our tour guides since I was with my two old aunties who have knee-problems. We just have to take pre-cautions on the uphill battle between rising heart rate and arthritis. Also, the road was steep and slippery. Anything could happen.

I am not sure whether this was the 2nd or 3rd waterfalls. But it's beautiful!
The water falls off from the mountains, which is basic and why waterfalls are called waterfalls, and they go down on a series of watercourses and falls to a mountain overhangs until it reaches the ground and off to the river to the sea.

A kid sits down appreciating nature.
If only I had the whole day to myself and had the chance to spend it atop a big stone. I would sit and relax and stop worrying about the things I cannot change. I can change them but I won’t. So I cannot change them. This short vacation gave me a tiny tiny breathing space between reality and escape.

Always. Always. Nature wins.

Walking barefoot. I get to clean it in the cold water. Soothing.
